Fried Sparky

My son an I got a bit to playful over the holidays. What we tried to achieve was to control the servo of the fritzing creator kit dinosaur with the Sparky. What we seemed to have done instead was to fry the voltage regulator of the Sparky :confused:

I can’t see any physical damage and the Sparky board + LED work fine when powered by USB. But it has a certain smell of burned electronic and powering the sparky with batteries and the motor & servo doesn’t work any more.

Any tips how to better diagnose or fix the problem?

I think you’re right, sounds like the external servo was a bit too much, and it fried the voltage regulator.
