Computer crashes while installing

Hi all, and thank you in advance for any assistance. I got the software downloaded for Sparki just fine, and was following the steps and got to where you plug Sparki in to your computer’s USB port, and then got the message in the tray that it was installing, then computer crashed and went to bluescreen and automatic shutdown. Tried again using a different USB port and exactly the same thing happened. Using Windows 7 Home. I’m going to research some more now and will check back here later to see if anyone has any ideas.

Any chance you’re plugged into a USB 3.0 port (it would have the plastic part in the center be blue). Some of the earlier computers with USB 3.0 had poor drivers, and aren’t fully backwards compatible with USB 2.0 products. Using a USB2.0 hub often fixes this.
